Find services and build your architecture
Use the catalog, resource cards, and connection handles with confidence.
Find a supported service
Search the service catalog using the service name or a relevant description. Open Details to inspect available placement, defaults, and support information before adding it. The catalog is curated; a service being available in AWS does not mean every configuration is available in Cloud Markup.
Add and inspect a resource
- Choose the service's Add action. On a small screen, use Add instead of relying on a precise drag gesture.
- Select the new resource and review its name and placement.
- Expand the resource card when you need more detail, or open Configure for its settings.
- Review Issues after applying a configuration change.
Recently used catalog entries help you return to services you have worked with on that browser. They are a convenience, not an inventory of every resource in your project.
Understand connections
Input handles appear on the left and output handles on the right. Hover or focus a handle to inspect its name or group. A supported connection represents a specific relationship; drawing a line is not a promise that any two services can communicate.
Keep layout and design separate
Moving cards helps explain the architecture. It does not replace configuring a service, selecting the correct boundary, or resolving validation findings. Use Fit architecture and zoom when resources seem missing, and create a typed connection for the review flow.
