Create and review a service connection

Start with the intended relationship

Choose the source service and the appropriate output handle, then a compatible target input. Handle labels describe the supported relationship. If a target is not offered, inspect service compatibility and configuration instead of drawing an unrelated connection as a workaround.

Review before connecting

1. In Set up connection, confirm the source, target, and connection choices.
2. Continue to Review and connect.
3. Read the summarized effects, including any supporting resources or permissions.
4. Open Technical details when you need to inspect the precise changes.
5. Choose Connect only after the proposal matches your intent.

Canceling the review leaves that proposed connection unapplied. A review is an opportunity to inspect the operation before it changes the architecture.

Resolve a stale review

If the project changed while the dialog was open, the proposed operation may need a fresh review. Return to the current design, reopen the connection flow, and inspect the updated effects. Do not assume the earlier permission preview is still accurate.

Check the result

Inspect the connection and any generated configuration, then review Issues. A visible line does not by itself establish production connectivity or deploy permissions into AWS. Save the draft and create a new revision when you are ready to export the updated design. See generated permissions and connection removal before cleaning up a relationship.
