Configure a service and review its changes

Open the resource configuration

Select the resource in the canvas and open Configure. You can also open configuration from the resource card where that action is available. Fields come from the supported service definition, so different services expose different choices. Before editing, confirm that you selected the intended resource. Similar display names can make a change look as though it affected the wrong item.

Make a focused update

1. Review the current values and placement information.
2. Change only the fields needed for your intended behavior.
3. Read any field-level guidance or validation message.
4. Review the proposed changes, then choose Apply when they match your intent.
5. Check the resource and Issues after the change completes.

Use variable or secret references where the supported configuration expects them. Do not paste live passwords, AWS keys, or application secrets into descriptions, prompts, or ordinary configuration text.

If Apply is unavailable

Look for a required field, an unsupported combination, a permission restriction, or a stale project state. Fix the visible issue before retrying. If another session changed the project, refresh the relevant review rather than repeatedly applying an old proposal.

Explain an unexpected result

Send the resource type, field name, previous and expected values with sensitive data removed, and the exact error. Include the project identifier and whether the draft had finished saving. This lets support investigate the change without needing your credentials.
