Review generated permissions and remove a connection
Understand owned configuration and remove relationships without guessing at dependencies.
Understand what the connection owns
A connection may create supporting configuration or permissions as part of the architecture. Inspect the selected relationship and the generated policy details available in the inspector. A supporting resource may serve more than one relationship, so its presence is not automatically a duplicate.
Change a relationship deliberately
- Select the connection you want to edit or remove.
- Inspect its endpoints and generated effects.
- Review the proposed update or removal, including dependent configuration.
- Apply the operation and check the remaining connections and Issues.
Avoid deleting an IAM resource simply because a connection is no longer needed. Start with the relationship so the editor can account for configuration it owns and dependencies it recognizes.
If the result is unexpected
Use Undo when the operation is available and appropriate for the current editing session. Review the restored design before continuing. Undo is not a replacement for a saved revision or a recovery plan for infrastructure deployed outside Cloud Markup.
Review the next export
Create a revision after the change saves and inspect the resulting infrastructure differences. Confirm that the removed relationship and any retained shared resources match your intent. For support, include the source and target resource types, the connection description, and the generated item you are questioning. Redact account-specific or sensitive values from policy excerpts.
