Choose Guided or Professional mode
Adjust the amount of guidance without changing the underlying architecture.
What the modes change
Guided and Professional modes offer different amounts of explanation around the same architecture workflow. Guided mode is useful when learning configuration and connection choices. Professional mode keeps the experience more concise when you already know the workflow. The mode does not grant additional organization permissions or turn an unsupported service into a supported one. Review requirements, validation findings, and export scope still apply.
Work through a change
- Open your project and choose the mode available in the editor.
- Select a service and open Configure to inspect its fields.
- Read the proposed change before applying it.
- For a connection, review the source, target, and permission effects before confirming.
Use the amount of explanation that helps you make the decision. Switching modes is not a substitute for saving a draft or creating a revision.
When something looks different
Service configuration can vary with the selected service, placement, and connection type. Compare the same resource and workflow before assuming a mode is hiding a capability. If an action is disabled, check your organization role and the explanation next to the action.
Ask for help
Include the mode, service type, action you were attempting, and a redacted screenshot. Explain which option you expected to see. Support can distinguish a presentation issue from a catalog limitation or a permission restriction.
