Save a revision before exporting

Drafts and revisions serve different purposes

The draft is where you continue editing. A saved revision identifies a fixed version for review and export. Later canvas edits do not silently become part of an export made from an earlier revision. Before creating a revision, let the draft finish saving and review its findings. If the application cannot create a revision from the current state, address the displayed reason instead of assuming the last visible canvas is already captured.

Select the design to export

1. Open Revisions for the intended project.
2. Create a revision from the saved draft when a new snapshot is needed.
3. Under Choose a saved revision, select Revision to export.
4. Open Review revision details and confirm that you selected the intended design.
5. Continue with the export settings for that revision.

Keep the revision identifier with your review notes or deployment handoff. A project name can stay the same while its architecture changes many times.

If the revision appears out of date

Compare its details with the current draft. Confirm whether your latest edits finished saving before the revision was created. Create another revision for later changes rather than expecting an existing revision to update.

Ask about a mismatch

Provide the project, selected revision, export identifier, and a specific example of the expected resource or value. Mention whether the difference concerns diagram placement, infrastructure configuration, or generated application source.
