Connect GitHub and troubleshoot repository import
Verify organization context, repository access, and import findings.
Connect the correct organization
In the organization's GitHub settings, use Connect GitHub and Continue to GitHub when available. Install or authorize the CloudMarkup GitHub App for the intended repositories. Connection verifies the GitHub account and the originating Cloud Markup organization; complete the flow in that same context. Connection and import availability depend on your role and the features enabled for the workspace. If import asks for integration access, contact an organization owner rather than sharing a personal access token in support.
Review an import
- Choose Import existing code from project creation or the repository workflow available to you.
- Confirm the repository and selected branch or reference.
- Review recognized resources, unsupported content, and import findings.
- Inspect the resulting design before making or exporting changes.
Observed repository state and your architecture design are separate concerns. A successful connection does not prove every file in a repository is supported by the importer.
Resolve access problems
Check repository selection, organization approval, and whether the GitHub App still has access. If a connection attempt expires, use Start new connection and complete the fresh flow. Connecting GitHub does not itself push code, merge a pull request, or deploy infrastructure. For an export, follow the separate preview and confirmation process. Include the workflow stage, repository identifier, selected reference, and exact error when requesting help.
